Flight & Hotel Booking

The one sensible reason to ask us is knowing the district and asking the right questions. We ask what the listing does not say — which floor the room is on, what the window faces, whether the bathroom has a bidet spray, whether a family room is genuinely one room or two adjoining, whether an extra bed is charged.

We pass on the hotel's answer as it is. If the hotel is unsure, we say "unsure"; we do not present our guess as the hotel's word.

The district decision comes before the hotel, because the wrong district in Istanbul means an hour and a half of travel a day. Over a five-day holiday that is a full day. A guest in Sultanahmet walks out of the hotel to Hagia Sophia; a guest in Şişli sets out every day to see the same thing.

Then we check the hotel's address on a map. In Türkiye a hotel may freely use a district name: one with "Taksim" in its name can be a twenty-minute walk uphill from the square. It is the complaint that recurs most in reviews.

Finally we read the last six months of reviews rather than the star rating. Stars measure a property's facilities — rooms, lifts, pool — not the quality of service.

Change and cancellation terms follow the airline's own rules and the fare class; we impose none of our own. Some tickets can be changed, some are never refundable. We tell you in writing before buying which class it is and what the terms are, so nothing is learned afterwards.

We do not handle visa applications. Visa rules vary by nationality and change often; we would rather not do the work at all than give you wrong information.

The ticket price is not part of the programme. In our packages the flight is a separate line, and we buy it in your name if you want or you buy it yourself — either is fine.

The booking is made in your name, not ours. You are the one who arrives at the hotel and your name is the one at reception; you are not left depending on a middleman.

If a problem comes up, we hold the correspondence: room type, dates and confirmation. We deal with the hotel, so you are not left arguing at reception.

Contact runs through WhatsApp and everything stays written down. A confirmation given verbally on the phone is a confirmation nobody remembers later.
